Tom entered the machine tool industry in September 1987 when he joined Technical Equipment Sales. Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana his timing was perfect as the medical device industry began to hit its stride by going through explosive growth for the next couple of decades. Besides implants and instruments, NE Indiana is also home to many high production automotive and many other types of metalworking facilities. Armed with an undergraduate business degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Ball State, Tom tackled the needs of his customer base and helped many of them to implement some of the highest technology available at the time. Over a more than 30 year career span, Tom personally sold greater than $300M in CNC machinery. That is an extraordinary amount that has positively impacted the many customers he worked with, as well as helped Technical Equipment to grow into a major company as well in this area. Tom did all this with the support from his wife Karen and their lovely daughter Sarah.
