Robert Huber was born August 29, 1925 in Oak Park, Illinois and grew up in Mansfield, Ohio. He enlisted in the US Navy and served as a Lieutenant Junior Grade staff communications officer. While in the Navy, Bob attended Baldwin-Wallace, Cornell and Harvard, completing his studies in 1949 at Denison University. After graduating, Bob was employed by Warner & Swasey Co. in Cleveland, OH and subsequently by Steel Magazine (re-named Industry Week). In 1969, he moved to Bloomfield Hills to become Editor of Production. Bob became Editor-Publisher of the magazine and retired as Editor-In-Chief in 1991, remaining as Editor Emeritus until 1994. After leaving Production, he was self-employed and did freelance writing. Bob authored many business publications and papers and traveled worldwide to visit companies and speak at industry meetings.
