The 1851 Great Exhibition, at the Crystal Palace in London, allowed exhibitors from around the world to showcase art, industry, and inventions.  Notable American exhibitors included not only Robbins & Lawrence of Windsor, VT, but also Samuel Colt and Charles Goodyear.
