Make a Gift

The American Precision Museum isn’t just a repository for the largest collection of historically significant machine tools in the nation. It’s also:

  • a place for families to come and learn something new and relevant together

  • a place where young learners spark an appreciation for a lifelong love of technology.

  • a living, breathing space that honors the past, encourages exploration in the present, and fosters curiosity and imagination for the next generations.

Your donation, of any size, will shape the future of this great story found at the American Precision Museum. Almost all of our revenue comes from our generous donors and sponsors, which means that so much of what we can do depends on your generosity. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

Thank you for making a gift today to show your commitment towards preserving yesterday, exploring today, and imagining tomorrow at the American Precision Museum.

You understand that preserving the National Historic landmark building and the museum’s unparalleled collection of machine tools from yesterday will ensure that the story of the evolution of manufacturing technology will be told for decades to come.

Whether that’s exploring our newest, professionally designed exhibit that shares the story of the move from machinery made by hand to made by machine, taking a special behind-the-scenes tour into the vast collection on the top floor, or admiring the historic building dressed up for the holidays, you know that this is a special place.

You believe that the stories told at the museum today capture the imaginations of every age and inspire what’s to come. And we’re just getting started.

Before this past year, we hadn’t believed we could comfortably open 12 months a year because we didn’t have heat! Thanks to donors, our doors remain open no matter the temperature. Imagine a space that fully highlights the beautiful, historic landmark that is the old armory building, and contains an entire floor of modern, well-designed exhibits showcasing machinery throughout the years, exciting the imagination of visitors young and old. That journey has already begun with our newest exhibit. We’re dreaming and planning more and can get there with your help.

You know the future depends on fostering interest and awareness of STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology, and Math). The collection of over 4,000 items is vital in encouraging a passion for this area and inspiring the next generation of innovators. This past year, we put STEM education kits in the hands of over 1,000 students, and are on track to expand beyond our immediate region in 2023. Your gift helps accomplish those goals.
