SUMMARY:Micrometer Day
DESCRIPTION:On September 7\, 1848\, Jean Laurent Palmer patented the first handheld micrometer in France—and changed the face of precision forever. This September 7\, we’re declaring it: Micrometer Day at the American Precision Museum! \nMicrometer Day is September 7. Bring your favorite micrometer — vintage or new\, well-worn or pristine — and admission is free. Joe and Bill will be on site to show anyone how to read one. \nSwap stories\, show off your tools\, and meet other people who care about fine tolerances. Whether you use a micrometer every day or inherited one you’ve never quite learned to read\, we want to see it. From longtime tool collectors to next-gen makers\, everyone’s welcome.
