DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the power of making with the American Precision Museum at an event that will feature some of the region’s finest model engineers\, artists\, machinists\, and STEM educators on Saturday\, October 8th from 10 am – 5 pm.  This is a rare opportunity to explore the evolution of industrialization\, meet local model engineers and makers\, and embrace the future of STEM. \n  \n \n  \nThe event will be open to the public from 10 am – 5 pm\, and most exhibitors will be in the Windsor Recreation Center at 29 Union St\, Windsor\, VT 05089. We will be hosting a variety of talks and presentations throughout the day\, which will take place in the museum’s lobby. DESCRIPTION:We invite young makers to create a spooky story set in or about the American Precision Museum.\nIt’s fun and simple! Think about the sounds\, smells\, textures\, and feel of the space. Use what you know about the American Precision Museum and invent your own spooky version of its history or spin a modern tale of spookiness. Write about the machines\, the people\, or the supernatural! \nChildren up to age 18 may submit a story. \nYou don’t have to be local to the museum; submit your story from anywhere! \n3 Winners will be chosen: Best Overall\, Spookiest\, and Funniest\nThese winners will have their stories published on our website and in our newsletter. DESCRIPTION:*Featuring special guests\, activities\, and giveaways!* \nAttendees receive an APM tote bag and a ‘golden’ pen. Admission is free\, although donations are always welcome.    This event will take place in the learning lab\, which is heated.  The museum exhibit hall does not have heat\, but visitors are welcome to tour the museum\, bearing the cold in mind! \nNational Engineers Week 2022 will run from February 20 to 26.
